hRasterizer is a RoboFont extension to rasterize glyph contours into vector elements, and was developed to assist in the design and production of vector-based bitmap fonts.

The tool has been gradually improved and updated over the last 10 years. The current implementation as an extension is meant to be used together with hTools3.

Just like hTools3, hRasterizer makes use of representations to provide a live preview of the rasterization result.

The tool can be used to rasterize individual glyphs of an existing font into a separate layer, using contour or component elements. The underlying API can also be used to rasterize whole fonts in batch, without the interface.

I hope this tool can be as useful to other designers as it has been for me!
